Molds are a welcomed part of nature and mold spores are a common component of household and workplace dust. However, when mold spores are present in large quantities, they can present a health hazard to humans, potentially causing allergic reactions and respiratory problems.

Eazy Dry can quickly find the source of the mold and design a remediation strategy, aka a plan to get rid of it! Mold in the home can usually be found in damp, dark or steam filled areas e.g. bathrooms or kitchens, cluttered storage areas, recently flooded areas, basement areas, plumbing spaces, and areas with poor ventilation or in humid environments.

The main thing one can do to prevent mold from becoming elevated is through moisture control. Mold needs three things to survive; air, moisture, and a food source. Take any one of those three things away and mold cannot reproduce. The easiest thing to control is moisture. Moisture is anything from standing water to elevated humidity. If one fails to control the amounts of moisture in a building the results could warrant the need for mold removal.

Removing large amounts of mold should always be done by a professional trained and certified in mold remediation. Some mold situations can be resolved without the assistance of a mold removal company; however, you should at minimum consult with a certified mold expert before attempting to remove the mold yourself.

There is no room for error when performing mold remediation. A simple mold removal project can become a health compromising situation if not dealt with properly. The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) as well as the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) have established standards and guidelines that outline specific protocols for removing mold in any amount from numerous types of structural materials. These standards and guidelines are strictly followed by the certified mold remediation technicians at Eazy Dry. You can rest assured that when you contract our mold experts to remediate your mold problem we will do all that is required to return your environment to a normal fungal ecology.
